
Architecture: special project
The special project on music and architecture was an ambitious artistic collaboration with sonic artist Baudouin Oosterlynck and 120 students from the National University of Singapore, Department of Architecture in 2006. Students created 26 models. One pavilion was selected and built on campus.
Catalogue published by Robert Casteels, National University of Singapore, in 2006. Casteels wrote an essay (see <Eye for ear, ear for eye>). Lionel Lye wrote an essay about Casteels (see <Robert Casteels: More than meets the eye>). Casteels composed a graphic score created by three performers directly on the pavilion (see Sound Journey - poster and article).
Book-object created by Raphaƫl Casteels in 2007 comprising: - one case sculpture out of plexiglass of 26 x 26 x 11.4 cm; - two oriental bindings type daifuko cho on two notebooks published on Darwin paper of 160gsm, 26 pages, 10 pictures; specimen number I/V;.
