Circumstances of the arrangement
Eastern Journey by Jamil Hissain and Matsuri by Kitaro are two songs arranged by R Casteels for solo sitar and solo tabla accompanied by a percussion quartet. The first performance took place during a special concert entitled Percussion 101 that was funded by the SG50 Celebration Fund and that was the first concert to mark Singapore's 50th year of independence in 2015.
