It's a New Day! is a concert overture for school band composed by Robert Casteels in 2025 following an imaginary narrative of upbeat feelings at the start of a promising day. The composition has three sections, joyous, then gentle, then energetic. Three melodies and one rhythmic theme come and go, at times are superimposed.
