NUS Ceremonial fanfare
6 horns, 6 trumpets and 6 trombones
Programme notes
Casteels composed this Ceremonial Fanfare for the National University of Singapore in 2005, the year he composed his first symphony for the Centennial of the University. The fanfare is scored for three groups, on the right 3 trumpets and 3 trombones, in the middle six horns and on the left another 3 trumpets and 3 trombones. Casteels applied the same colour correspondence as in the Centennial symphony: E flat Major for the NUS golden orange, A Major for the NUS blue and D flat Major for the NUS gold. NUS never used the fanfare.
