Based on the poem Bicara Dalam Sepi by the Singaporean lady poet Norulashikin Jamain, Qie Yu 窃语 is a massive composition, a universal De profundis clamavi that transcends cultural borders. The English translation of the title of the poem encapsulates the emotional essence of the music: Qie Yu means: whispering.
