Se Ora (opus 88 nr 2)

Soprano voice and vibraphone

Programme notes

Born in Todi in 1947, Patrizia Cavalli is an Italian poet who published her first collection of poems in 1974. She has won several literature prices and awards and is also a translator of Shakespeare works. She currently lives and writes in Rome. Her writing is based on classical stylistic norms which blend with a truly contemporary language. Soprano Sabrina Zuber gave this poem to Robert Casteels: If now, you were at my door And you would take off your spectacles And I would take off mine, which are similar And then, you would enter in my mouth And without fearing uneven kisses Tell me “Amore mio, what happened”, It would be a magnificent piece of theatre.
