Zingend koper

MIDI sound track

Programme notes

Zingend Koper (or singing copper in Dutch) stems from an idea that propped up during the composition of the toccata opus 124 for carillon and proved to be unsuitable for the register of the carillon. The strings of the piano are hit like bells. A series of single pitches are transformed electro-acoustically resulting into a bagatelle in a rondo form. This short electro-acoustic composition was constructed at Pavane Recording Studio, Singapore.
